Barbara has a lifelong passion for empowering and advocating for others. She has supported the women in her life during pregnancy through postpartum since 2009. The care from her provider during the birth of her first child was less than ideal and Barbara found herself having to advocate harder than ever for minimal interventions. With her second, she found herself having a natural hospital birth with a care team that said they had never seen an an intervention-free birth previously.
These two experiences led Barbara to drastically change her career path. After leaving the corporate world to birth and raise her own children, she found her passion for advocating for women in their own pregnancies and births.
Outside of birth work, Barbara is all about family, both related and chosen. The people who are blessed to be in her circle know that she is always only a call away. She is passionate about supporting the full potential and development of her beautiful children. She is constantly researching and learning new skills, but somehow remains laid back.
